Spring 2024 Yard Waste Facility Information
The Yard Waste Collection Facility for Lower Saucon Residents will open on Friday, April 19th. The facility will be open each Friday & Saturday through November 23rd. Hours of operation are 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Items Accepted

Leaves - loose and in brown paper bags only. If bagged in plastic, you must take the bags home.
Small brush - up to 4" in diameter (no longer than 6 ft.)
Hedge trimmings, garden plant residue
Christmas trees (without tinsel)

Items NOT Accepted

Grass
Sod
Tree stumps
Commercial business materials

Yard Waste Materials

Must be from a property within Lower Saucon Township, proof of residence will be required.

Yard Waste Facility Tips

You must be a Lower Saucon Township resident to drop off materials. ID Cards are required (see below).
Do NOT leave materials outside the Yard Waste Facility. Plastic bags used to transport material must be taken home.
Grass is NOT accepted. Recycle grass by using a mulching mower or cut your grass frequently and leave clippings on lawn. This does NOT create thatch and provides an excellent lawn fertilizer.

Tarping Requirements
Visitors are reminded that, per Pennsylvania State Law, all loaded trucks or trailers must be covered with a tarp when traveling on any public road and when dropping off materials at the facility. Please be a good neighbor and tarp your vehicle.

Contractors
Landscaping contractors hired by a resident Lower Saucon Township may drop off brush/yard waste/leaves only with a signed invoice and/or the resident's ID card.

Yard Waste Facility ID Cards
ID cards issued by Lower Saucon Township are to be used at the Yard Waste Facility. Residents who need a new or replacement ID card may pick them up at Town Hall during regular business hours. Please email rmarkovic@lowersaucontownship.org, fax (610) 867-3580 or by postal mail (Lower Saucon Township, Attn: Receptionist, 3700 Old Philadelphia Pike, Bethlehem, PA 18015) your driver's license for proof of address and your phone number.

The ID cards should be displayed when you visit the Yard Waste Facility. The card may be used by all members residing in your household. The Yard Waste Facility reserves the right to confirm the identification of the card holder to ensure the card is not being misused for non-resident or commercial purposes.
