Summer Recreation Programs

Lower Saucon Township Parks

The Township sponsors a summer recreation program for children ages 6-12 run by the Saucon Valley Community Center at our parks. Contact the Community Center at www.svcommctr.org for the latest information on these programs.

Town Hall Park

Town Hall Park

3700 Old Philadelphia Pike, Bethlehem, PA 18015

Located behind Town Hall off Old Philadelphia Pike (just west of Route 378).

  • Large pavilion with a capacity for approximately 125 people with large charcoal pit burners.(A reservation system is in place to rent the pavilion from April through October. Reservations are taken starting on the first Friday in January for that summer.)
  • Softball field with lights, backstop and fence (Softball leagues have contracts for the field from Monday through Thursday.
  • Two large playground / jungle gym areas
  • Pond for fishing (fish and release only)
  • Modern restrooms and water fountains - Please note that restrooms are not guaranteed to be open until mid-May (depending on weather), but port-a-potties are available.
  • Full basketball court and 1/2 court - with lights
  • 2 horseshoe pits (must bring your own horseshoe sets)
  • Nature trail (with crushed stone) runs throughout the park for walking or jogging

Southeastern Park

Located off of Lower Saucon Road west of Wassergass across from Southeastern Fire Company

  • Large pavilion (A reservation system is in place to rent the pavilion from April through October. Reservations are taken starting on the first Friday in January for that summer.)
  • Softball / Little League field
  • Modern playground / jungle gym apparatus
  • Charcoal pits
  • Modern restrooms - Please note that restrooms are not guaranteed to be open until mid-May (depending on weather), but port-a-potties are available.
  • Wooded picnic area
  • Horseshoe pits (must bring your own horseshoe sets)

Steel City Park

Polk Valley Park

48.5 acre Park on Polk Valley Road opened Spring 2008

  • 3 Multi-purpose fields (Soccer/Lacrosse/Football)
  • 2 Little League sized baseball fields
  • Paved walking/biking trails
  • 1 acre dog park (opened Fall 2009)
  • Grass trails through naturalized areas

Kingston Park (under development)

Kingston Park

4216 Countryside Lane, Hellertown, PA 18055

Opened in 2013, the 2.5 acre park is adjacent to the historic Lutz-Franklin Schoolhouse on Countryside and Limpar Lanes. The park includes parking (which can accommodate school buses), walking trails, a composting toilet, and a picnic pavilion. A central feature of the park is a water garden dedicated in memory of Ella Mary Kingston, who was a student at the schoolhouse.

Easton Road Fields

Easton Road Fields

2190 Easton Road, Bethlehem, PA 18015

Acquired by the Township in April 2010, the Easton Road Fields are located across Easton Road from the Christ Lutheran Church and are bordered by Easton and Mockingbird Hill Roads. The 6+ acre property consists of two (2) baseball fields which are currently leased to the Hellertown Lower Saucon Little League for their use.
